Eligibility for Admission to the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM) QEM programme
General Requirements: The selection of candidates is based on standard admission criteria that rely on academic excellence. They must have a recognized Bachelor's degree in Economics or an equivalent degree (three years, 180 credits) in line with national legislation. In any case, basic training in quantitative methods is required. The applicants must have performed well above average during their undergraduate studies and have good knowledge of English, as certified by a TOEFL or IELTS.
Academic assessment is done by experts from the field, on defined criteria, using candidate motivation criteria, and excluding exclusion of any conflict of interest. The Committee will classify candidates according to the criteria chosen to select the best-suited candidates: academic record, relevant academic background in quantitative methods, candidate motivation, recommendations, work experience, internships, research paper, and social competence using defined criteria and excluding.
Students can apply to the programme even if they have not completed yet their bachelor's. However, they must have completed the relevant degree level before the cohort starting date, which is the first of September of the starting year of the cohort they apply for.
Language Requirements: Good knowledge of English is an essential requirement. Applicants whose first language is not English must submit an English test certificate (TOEFL, IELTS, etc.). Minimum English Language Proficiency Test Requirements: 76 for TOEFL (IBT), 230 for TOEFL (Computer-based), 550 for TOEFL (Paper-based), 6.0 for IELTS, C for Cambridge Examination, B for Advanced Cambridge Test, 110 for Duolingo English Test.
Applicants coming from an English-speaking country or having a sufficient degree taught in English are waived from this requirement.
